Chapter Reflections

This is complicated stuff!! Some people are breezing through this and I am having to watch all the tutorials! Goodness. I'm having most trouble with my website.. There is so much to upload.. I will make it!

Whew. Chapter 6 was a doozy. I still can't figure out how to upload my video files from my flash cam to Windows Movie Maker. It doesn't regognize the file and will not upload! I have converted the files to every possible format from Any Video Converter but it wont upload into moviemaker.. I uploaded both of the video files of both parts of the video to my website so maybe that will be enough!!

Instructional photos

I picked these two pictures to upload because they follow the rule of thirds and I could use them to introduce units on the ocean (what things do we find in the ocean? What causes waves?...) and spring (flowers that smell good, appropriate attire...) All in all, I want these pictures to spark questions inside my students...things to wonder about.

Chapter 1

There was a lot of reading in chapter one! A lot of information too... I've learned that books and text are not the only forms of literacy alothough they are what we think of first. In this day and age, technology is booming and we are becoming more and more dependant on it. Cell phones, iPods, internet, movies, video games and on and on and on are taking over! As teachers, we need to become more aware with these technological advances and incorporate them into the classroom. I'm very excited to start the "Wonder Wall" with my students and see how they respond to the idea. Treating it like a website will be fun and exciting for the stuents and exremely educational.

Welcome to my first blog ever

Hello! This is my first time "blogging". From now until Christmas, I will be posting for a class. I'm Interning in a 1st grade classroom and couldn't be more excited or ready to teach. I look forward to learning more about blogging and informing you about how my year is going!
